Mouth cancer (also known as oral cancer) is a malignant growth which usually developed on the surface or the tongue, mouth, lips or gums.
Symptoms of mouth cancer:
- Patches on the lining of your mouth or tongue (red, or red and white)
- Mouth ulcers that will not heal
- Swelling in the mouth that lasts longer than three weeks
Visit your dentist at once if you notice any abnormal problems or are not sure. Regular dental check ups allow early detection of abnormalities in the mouth.
