Dental Bridges at Aloe Vera Dental Studio
A dental bridge is used to replace missing teeth to enable you to restore the functionality & improve the aesthetics of your smile. There are different types of bridges available & our dentist will recommend the best type to suit your needs.
In a conventional dental bridge the teeth next to the missing tooth will be preped by your dentist and normally a three or four unit bridge will replace the missing tooth. In a Cantilever bridge will one tooth next to gap preped by your dentist and a two unit bridge will replace the missing tooth. In Meryland or adheisive bridge a butterfly shape bridge with one or two wings replace the missing tooth by bonding the wings to the back of one or two neighbour teeth. These are usually made of porcelain &/or metal.

What to expect
Our dentist at Aloe Vera Dental in Chelmsford will use a numbing cream on the gum & a local anaesthetic before the neighbouring teeth/tooth is prepared using a dental drill. After that the dental impressions will be taken which are then will be sent to our cosmetic dental lab technician who will make the bridge. Photos will be taken and sent to our dental technician so the highest aesthetic result and symmetry can be achieved. Our dentist then places a temporary bridge to protect the area & improve the aesthetics.
At the second appointment the temporary bridge is removed by the dentist, the area is cleaned & the permanent bridge is tried in to make sure that fit is perfect and the desired aesthetic reult has been achieved & then the bridge will bw fitted using a special dental cement.
