Now is the time when we all start setting our New Years Resolutions – New Year, New me etc.

So we thought why not give you a helping hand and let you know how we might be able to help achieve your goals.

1. Write it down

First things first, write it down. Then display it somewhere you can see it everyday, such as on your fridge, or dressing table mirror.

The example we are going to use for my New Years resolution is ‘to be more healthy’.

the greatest wealth is health

2. Make an immediate plan

Without a plan your New years resolution is just a dream or desire written on a piece of paper. Nothing will happen.

For example, in January, I’m going to book myself an appointment with the optician, a full examination with the dentist and book onto a weekly class at my local gym.

3. Plan for three months time

Make sure you revisit your goal. It needs to become apart of your routine.

Make it apart of your routine and you will stick at it. What will you do in three months time?

For example, In March, I will take part in a local Boot camp with a friend, book in with the dental hygienist for a deep clean and treat myself to a new healthy eating cook book.

4. Find ways to make it easier for you

Now this may seem like a ‘opt-out’ option, but what I mean is, is there a pay monthly option or membership that will keep you motivated.

Once I’ve found the gym class that I enjoy, I may pay for a 10 week course or if its more cost effective, get a gym membership.

A way that we can help you, here at Aloe Vera Dental Studio, is our pay monthly memberships. On top of saving money you gain lots of others benefits such as discounts and emergency cover.

Many of our membership plan patients report that it motivates them to attend regularly, and in turn keeps their mouths healthy. Click the link below to find out more.

5. Set a reward for yourself at the end of the year

There’s nothing like rewarding yourself to keep you motivated! Remember to keep it realistic.

For example, the end of next summer, I will reward myself with some new swimwear for my holiday.

And by Christmas next year, if I maintain my regular dental appointments, I will reward myself with Teeth Whitening.

Hopefully by the end of the year, you will have maintained focus on your goal, and it will be apart of your normal day-to-day routine.
